About Me

When someone asks me who I am I am reminded of this quote by Rachel Roy: “I think that a woman wears so many hats, we have so many aspects to us that we’re not just one thing.” I often tell people that I wear a lot of “hats”, I am a daughter, mother, grandmother and friend…

I am a boutique owner and boss of this amazing store that I’ve owned for more years that I ever thought. It started out as a grand idea that Crivitz needed a cute boutique so all the locals and tourists would have a fun place to buy fun fashions and accessories. Between myself and my friend Sandy (who I could not do this with out her help) we go to buying shows and have a great time picking out things to bring back into the store. So far, I think we’ve done a good job of it.

I am a Hair stylist, colorist, receptionist, Cosmetologist, and sometimes even a general handy-man/person at a salon in Crivitz, that my daughter owns. I have been in the hair industry since 1981, and I have to say it is my passion. Most recently, I added the title of Hair Loss Practitioner to my
resume. I am so excited to be furthering my education and my ability to serve my clients better.

My hobbies are vast and varied. Spring finds me with my hands in the dirt planting and taking care of my flowers. Nothing smells better than freshly turned dirt. Summer I am in my garden planting tomatoes and other vegetables. My Hummingbirds are my favorite. I know they come back to me every year because when they first arrive in my yard they come to my kitchen window and chirp at me to let me know they have come back “home”. Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the color of the fashions that show up in the store and I love the changing colors in the trees around the area. I love pumpkin pie. Nothing is more beautiful than Crivitz in the fall. Winter – well, I will wear my Santa Hat, but it’s pretty cold here so I would prefer to travel during those months to somewhere warm. I am also a wife. I would not be able to accomplish all that I am without my guy supporting all my hats. He is the place where I can truly “hang my hat”, so for that, I thank him.

At the end of the day…I do everything I do so that at the end of it all, I can eventually go to my “happy place” wearing my beach hat, watching the sun set, listening to the waves… and say it was good!
